At Shelley’s Botanical Wax Co, we are a family run business that create bespoke botanical eco-coco wax melts at home in our kitchen! They’re not only designed to smell amazing and fill your home with gorgeous aroma, but support emotional wellbeing and restore mood balance naturally.
Each melt is handcrafted using a premium eco coco wax blend, infused with carefully selected botanical fragrances known for their calming, uplifting, or grounding properties. Our wax melts are created with intention — perfect for self-care rituals, mindful moments, and nurturing a peaceful home environment…including those with children and pets.
We are proud to offer products that are vegan, cruelty free, pet friendly, and completely free from phthalates, ensuring a cleaner, safer fragrance experience for you and your loved ones. HOW IT ALL BEGAN
As a lover of home fragrance, it wouldn’t bear mentioning how much has been spent over the years buying the latest editions & favourites. However, we never considered the ingredients let alone what was being released into our home at the time, that was until our first grandchild arrived!
One particular sleepover, we settled her into her cot and thought how nice it would be to light a candle (top brand) and have the smell of fresh cut roses in the bedroom. Our granddaughter slept soundly all night through to the morning, but when she woke she had black soot around her little nostrils and we knew immediately why! Horrified was an understatement, and that was when candles were banned from our home. It never entered our minds to think about the invisible ingredients, after a lot of research it was clear what we had been breathing in the whole time was a by product of crude oil…paraffin wax is made with the same substance we put into our cars…petrol! Then the realisation why our lovely clean walls were full of black soot from the smoke off the candles.
This was the turning point for all things we used around our home. Everything we now use is now plant based, if it’s not Vegan & Cruelty Free we don’t buy it!
As the years have passed, lots of companies are now certified by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) more companies are now displaying the cruelty free leaping bunny logo & the vegan leaf. It’s becoming much easier to identify what isn’t tested on animals or contains toxic chemicals. (We strongly urge you to further read about phthalates & other dangerous additives in some fragrance oils) It was also important to us to be safety conscious and support a sustainable environment. As we loved our home comforts and our pets, we decided to create our own Eco friendly scented wax melts, with no awful background smells and pollution, just a clean environment that smells incredible and not a monkey fart in sight!
